I'm going to get down to the real reason I started this blog, birds, music, and gardening.  I guess these are my passions.  First of all music because I have been involved in music most of my life.  I taught in the public school system for twenty years and even when not teaching I sang in choirs, a barbershop quartet, and started a children's choir.  I also played in community bands, a recorder consort, and several different jazz groups.  Music and children have been my life.
